Scores Of Dogs Dropped Off At Local Shelter  Trilogy, home of HealthyPetNet, heeds call for assistance!

It's such an honor to represent a company who steps up to the plate in time of critical need. Without skipping a beat, Trilogy, home of HealthyPetNet came to the rescue of an overnight urgent plea. Donating a variety of health products to these precious animals should introduce a more promising future to these little ones and their new adoptive families...

Palm City, Florida – When the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County issued a public plea for assistance, after their dog population doubled in a single day, a company headquarted in Palm City stepped up to the plate … literally.

Seventy-five Chihuahuas and one Pug were dropped off at the shelter on October 19th, when a local breeder hit hard by the economy determined she could no longer operate her business.

Trilogy International heeded the Society’s call for donations, providing more than 300 pounds of Life’s Abundance Premium Health Food for Puppies & Adult Dogs and Life’s Abundance Weight-Loss Formula for Adult Dogs and 46 pounds of Gourmet Dental Treats – Honey Peanut Butter Recipe.   The charitable giving helped to offset the shelter’s projected $30,000 shortfall in providing much-needed care to all of the animals.

“We’re all pet people here at Trilogy,” said Lester Thornhill, CEO of Trilogy International. “When we learned about the shelter’s need, we felt we had to act immediately. We’d do it again in a heartbeat.”

All of the dogs, ranging in age from several years to just a few days old, received immediate veterinary attention. South Floridians interested in taking home these purebreds will have to wait another week to do so, but the shelter is encouraging any interested parties to visit soon before all the purebred dogs are adopted.

This story brings both sad and good news. Exposing the truth that some animals are becoming abandoned (for various reasons), neglected, and in some cases abused; it also restores faith in human kind to witness the good in people who step forward, in making this a better world for our defenseless best friends, who depend on us for their most basic needs. While they offer us utmost comfort in companionship, these companion animals deserve our best care in return, which includes optimum nutrition.

Trilogy is no stranger to giving back to the community. In 2007, Trilogy established a non-profit agency, The Dr. Jane HealthyPetNet Foundation, which awards financial grants on a quarterly basis to small- to medium-sized adoption agencies. While the foundation did not directly donate the foods and treats, they have donated tens of thousands of dollars to similarly worthwhile agencies located in South Florida and all over America.

Life’s Abundance and other premium pet health products are available for purchase through this site. If you’re interested in becoming an independent Field Representative for Trilogy, we encourage you to visit our “Opportunity” link here.
