Previous Puppies...already placed in their new homes Come on inside & meet Mira Blue and the kids At the home of Precious Pocket Pups, our mission statement is: To raise and represent, with honesty and integrity, quality puppies
We are a small breeding program, focused on sound health and wonderful temperament, raising the most well balanced puppy for you, while at the same time planning the cutest little ones available. We do not have puppies year round, as we do not over breed. Our Shihua pups are bred from AKC registered Chihuahua's and AKC registered Shih Tzu's. We have implemented careful breeding standards in order to secure sound, healthy puppies.

Samson is the Dog Father to both litters...All 3.5 pounds of him! We call him Sammy, or Samson, but when we really want him to strut, we call him Mr. Fedwell! He is, of course, Mr. Samson Fedwell, my VERY HEALTHY Mascot for the boarding/training facility. Samson Fedwells' name came about because he is fed very well, with Life's Abundance food and treats! He also likes to police the place like a Fed (agent). Maybe it has something to do with being the Dog-Father? Pictures are posted below of Rudy, Valentino, Faith, Angel and Mira Blue. |
 |
Pictures below were taken the first day that Rudy and Valentino came to work with me at "Doggy School". One of my students' mommy took pictures, while in our exercise pen. At this age, they play and tire quickly.
Thank you Lexi for the pics! Always having your camera ready! Born on Valentines Day, Rudy and Valentino are 5 weeks, 4 days old in these pics. They are currently in weight: Rudy ~ very solid and sturdy at 2 lbs, 1 oz. Valentino ~ a little more fine boned, yet still sturdy at 1 lb, 7 oz. Rudy and Valentino are both out of Mei Ling, Sired by Mr. Samson Fedwell. |

Pawsitivly nice to meet you. Valentino, very sweet temperment, but he can sure hold his own at play time! Valentinos' coloring is getting richer. His hair is turning more red around his eyes and his ears are turning red. He still has his white toes and a fawn body. |

The girls ~ Born 5 days later, Feb, 19th, 2008, out of Cinder-Ellie, sired by Samson Fedwell Pictured below is Faith. She is the first born of her litter, weighed in at 1 and 1/2 oz. at birth, the tiniest of 3. She was born the squeaky wheel, screaming for food and an aggressive eater. She is now the largest of the three! She mingles well with the boys and ventured to work with us to puppy class. She was born a dark steel blue, has since turned black, with a blue undercoat. She has a dot of white on her back toes (both feet). She is now the quietest of the girls. She is very solid at 1 lb. 6 oz. at 4 weeks, 4 days of age. |

Faith is a very sweet baby faced girl Faith, the first born of 3 girls on Feb. 19th Birth weight was 1 and 1/2 oz. She now weighs 1 lb. 6 oz. at 4 weeks, 4 days old |
Next week I'll show off my full face with better lighting! It's somewhat difficult to capture the face in black puppies, as the shadows don't allow depth and clarity without a flash. Didn't want to use a flash at this young age. |
 |
 |
Faith at 7 weeks She is the sweetest little girl |
Faith adores people. She is the happiest girl, who loves kisses while her tail goes 90 MPH She is the most social little girl |
 |
 |
Faith 7 weeks Silly girl, she's nervous in front of the camera. |
Faith has a beautifully thick coat, that's appearing to show promise in a very nice length as well. |

Angel secured a way of not having to share the food |
It took her a little while to figure out how to play with this toy. Although it's the size of a mans hand, it's bigger than any toy she had handled yet |

Very difficult to get a group shot with so much activity. Angel and Valentino are in the tunnel "rockin & rollin". Faith is attacking them from the other end. |
Puppies from previous litters |
Three girls, pretty in pink! Cinder-Ellie's first litter, born in 2006. Lacey (black), ChaCha (blue, turned red), Bailey (with the black muzzle). Lacey now lives in Alturas, CA; ChaCha lives with me and the gang; Bailey lives in Bend, OR. All Adopted |

What a great mommy she has been. |
 |
 |
Cinder as a baby. She's a sister to Rowdy and Peanut, and now, mom to the three new girls: Faith, Mira and angel |
Cinder as a mommy. She lost the black muzzle, becoming Cinder-Ellie. These puppies are adopted. |
 |
Peanut and Rowdy, brothers to Cinder-Ellie. Two little boys, who now live in Susanville, CA. and Alturas, CA Both Adopted |
 |
Peanut and Rowdy again. Rowdy sure appears shy in pics, yet he's always the first to try everything. He's full of confidence, fears nothing, was always a fast learner and a great Houdini. He has well earned his name! Rowdy...the first to discover everything, like it was simply meant for him to do.
Peanut just quietly follows the leader in all things. Even now...he likes to quietly follow his adopted mom all around. He loves to snuggle under his daddy's beard and fall asleep. Having a "Peanut" around the house, is as soothing as having a comfort food around the house (without the calories)! |
 |
Can you find the guard dog in the potty yard? She's out there watching for gophers, that are as big as she is. That's my ChaCha! |
 |
Owning a Shihua is a long term investment and committment, as they should live a lengthy, healthy life, given the proper care, including, dietary intake. I will happily tell you the different personalities, helping you to decide which puppy will better fit into your lifestyle, as some are more outgoing, while others are more quiet and gentle. These puppies are not for families with small children, as very young children do not understand the delicate makeup of small framed pets. As a natural survival instinct, the smaller dogs will try and stay away from smaller people. The match is generally not good between the two. |
